Lux Trading Firm Benefits
Lux Trading Firm differs from most of the leading companies in the industry in that it has a one-step valuation process and real accounts.
Compared to other companies, Lux Trading Firm has low leverage of 10:1 to 1:1, a profit target of 6% in the evaluation and development phase, and a profit target of 10% in the professional phase. Compared to other firms that have a two-stage evaluation procedure, such as FTMO, this makes it less difficult to succeed.
The evaluation procedure takes 29 trading days and therefore potentially takes longer than other prop companies.
Lux Trading is a regulated asset management company that has received numerous awards. Most of the industry’s leading prop trading firms are not regulated at all and are not currently required to be, but it is nice to see a prop trading firm that has gone through the regulatory process. Lux only works with the regulated forex broker Global Prime, which has an excellent reputation for reliability and honesty in the trading industry.
There are two advantages over other branded companies:
- First, they do not offer demo accounts, but real/live versions as soon as you get funding.
- And second, you can choose from 1/3 different trading platforms to trade on. You can choose between MetaTrader 4, TradingView, and Trader Evolution.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Perfect reputation.
- Weekend holding allowed.
- Scaling up to $2 500 000.
- 65% profit split.
- No time limit on profit targets.
Cons
- High initial fee.
Conclusion
When it comes to instant funding offers, LUX Trading Firm is the only Forex company that is able and willing to prove that funded traders actually trade with real money in real accounts. This is evidenced by their choice of broker (Global Prime) and trading platforms beyond the usual – and frankly substandard – MetaTrader platforms.
The scaling ladder at LUX Trading offers real career opportunities for both experienced traders and beginners motivated to reach the maximum account size of $2,500,000.

Company priority – algorithms for fast profits. If you have the appropriate specialization, then it’s a plus | If you trade in the long term, you have less chance of cooperation. But this does not mean that there are none at all. |
Benefits and disadvantages for prop companies
Pros | Cons |
Capitals are fully protected against risks | The risk of not making a profit if the trader is unable to trade |
In the long run, the passive profit is many times greater than the investment in the training of an employee | Trader may turn out to be poorly trained and the cost of his training may not justify itself |
Diversification of profits by attracting a large number of traders and applying different strategies
The widest range of opportunities and tools by attracting newcomers with different specializations
Independent development of software with the adaptation of functionality for their own needs | High expenses for the development team |
The ability to select from among the students particularly talented for further more serious development | Material and moral costs of learning to trade |
No conflicts between the interests of the company and traders due to transparent and legal business practices |
What are the risks of proprietary traders?
Prop trading companies have their own clearly working system of risk management, beneficial for both parties:
- there are limits on losses per trading session;
- there is a daily volume limit for buying/selling assets;
- there is no possibility of carrying over the trades to the next day.
Each transaction is monitored by a manager, who has the right to stop trading if the account amount is about to reach a critical point.
The increased risk of traders is related to the fact that only 10% of proprietary companies legally conduct their business. The rest are scammers hiding behind the name of proprietary trading. Most of all the frauds concern the contributions to the organization, paid training and software, participation in trading contests, transactions that do not enter the market.
What traders should pay attention to when choosing a proprietary trading company
Amount and terms of the insurance contribution. The deposit, increased with part of the organization’s capital, should provide an increase in the volume of transactions and at the same time not increase the risk of current drawdowns and not force yourself to limit the volume.
- Conditions for Participation in Traders Contests. Legitimate pro companies hold such events using demo accounts, not real ones. In contests on real accounts, anyone who ends up without a prize runs the risk of not getting their deposited funds back. But even for the winner, there is no guarantee that he or she will get the money under management. You have to understand that market conditions of real trading are cardinally different from contest ones. In order to get into a reputable proprietary company, it is sufficient to prove by figures your trading qualifications. That is why they do not hold trading contests.
- The organizations developed their own platforms. If from working with them there is a lot of inconvenience, slippage, non-market price jumps, or interrupted communication, then there is a high probability that in this particular company there are scammers, who will not allow withdrawing the profit and in general to trade in profit.
- Paid training. A trader in a prop company is an employee and it is the employer’s obligation to educate him free of charge. Most often, Russian pro-trading companies train for money, and they do not even guarantee employment. Therefore, read the terms and conditions of cooperation carefully!
To become an employee of the organization you must have at least minimal trading experience because they are looking for traders who are ready to provide the employer with some proof of successful trading on real financial markets. Some proprietary trading companies offer a six-month course with no guarantee of employment. Not only your trading results will be considered, but also your personal qualities. Companies prioritize young people under 30 with no family, who can easily immerse themselves in intensive training for up to a year and a half.
